J. Leon Zhao is currently Presidential Chair Professor at School of Management and Economics, Co-Head of Information Systems and Operations Management, Co-Director of Master Program on Information Management and Business Analytics, Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) and Director of Center on Blockchain and Intelligent Technology (CBIT) of Shenzhen Institute of Data Economics. Before joining CUHKSZ, he was with City University of Hong Kong as Chair Professor (2009-2020) and Head (2009-2015) of Information Systems. Before then, he was Eller Professor in MIS, University of Arizona. He holds Ph.D. from Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. His research has been funded by NSF of US, NSFC of China, RGC and ITF of HK, Science and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen, SAP, and IBM among other funding agencies. He received IBM Faculty Award in 2005 and Chang Jiang Scholar Chair Professorship at Tsinghua University in 2009.
