报告人及报告内容简介：
Prof. Dr. Brian Smith is Professor and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs in the College of Computing and Informatics (CCI), Drexel University. His research interests include design of computer-based learning environments, human-computer interaction, design sciences, informal learning, creativity & innovation, and computational thinking. Dr. Smith received his PhD. from Northwestern University in 1998. He worked at the MIT Media Lab as assistant and associate professor from 1997 to 2002. He also worked at the Pennsylvania State University as Associate Professor of Information Science and Technology from 2002 to 2009, and as Dean of Continuing Education in Rhode Island School of Design from 2010 to 2013 before joining Drexel in 2013.
Dr. Yuan An is Associate Professor and Director of International Programs in CCI, Drexel University. His research interests include health and biomedical information integration, extraction, and analysis; requirements analysis and engineering for healthcare information systems; semantic and ontology mapping; knowledge representation and reasoning. Dr. An received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Tsinghua University and his PhD from University of Toronto. He joined Drexel in 2007.
